60th Anniversary of Grandma Gatewood’s walk

This May will mark the 60th Anniversary of Grandma Emma Gatewood’s record-setting walk on the Appalachian Trail. Before her 1955 hike, no woman had ever hiked the 2,050 miles from Georgia to Maine by herself! All shirts are custom made.  Scarves are hand-made by Elyria artist Tracy Rue.  Scarves and Shrits will be mailed out after July 15, 2015.

Our documentary about Emma, TRAIL MAGIC, will premier on Friday, May 29, 2015 atTrueNorth Cultural Arts; 4530 Colorado Avenue; Sheffield Village, Ohio 44054.  There will also be a special presentation of our storytelling program, GRANDMA GATEWOOD: OHIO’S LEGENDARY HIKER on Thursday, May 28.
