Join us for some “Trail Magic with Grandma Gatewood” this August at TrueNorth Cultural Arts.
A full weekend of events will be devoted to Emma Gatewood this August! See the complete schedule in our current newsletter at: http://edenvalleyenterprises.org/news042013/cover.htm
This just in today: Kelly Boyer Sagert will be joined by T.M. Gottle for the Poetry Workshop during that weekend. As you may know, Emma was a prolific writer and loved to create poems, so we will have a Nature Poetry workshop and reading during that event for her. They will be led by Eden Valley’s writer Kelly Boyer Sagert (who will be writing the new program about Emma) and Ms. Gottle who is the author of “Stretching the Window”, as well as two chapbooks, “Angels and Copper” and “A Hurricane of Moths”. She was selected by Forrest Gander as the 2013 winner of the Poetry in the Museum contest at the Cleveland Museum of Art. In 2012, she was nominated for a Rhysling Award and a Pushcart Prize, and she was Northeast Ohio’s 2012 Grandslam Champion to represent the Cleveland-Akron-Canton area at National Poetry Slam. When she isn’t busy with poems, she works as a librarian and spends time cuddling her family’s three pet chickens.
